What Kinds of Music Are Included in Your Collection?
Our music collection includes almost everything! With over 60,000 songs (clean edits), we offer a diverse range of musical styles, including Top 40, Soul/R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Old School, hits from the 50s to today, Disco, Motown, Modern & Classic Rock, Dance/Techno, Country, Reggae, House, and much more. If you don’t see a particular genre or song, just ask. Chances are we have it, or we can get it for you!
Do you use "old school" vinyl turntables to DJ events?
No, the Cascade Sound & Light setup is fully digital. We have over 60,000 songs in our collection; all backed up to ensure seamless playback without issues like skipping or cutting out.
Do you use party props?
No, party props are usually coordinated with the photographer.
How involved are you in helping us plan our music?
We work closely with you and are as involved as you would like us to be. You can choose everything, or we can offer suggestions and handle the planning.
How involved can we be in selecting music for our event?
As involved as you want to be. We prefer that you share your Spotify playlist or any specific requests. We're here to help too!
What areas do you serve?
We serve all of Central Oregon (Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Sunriver, Terrebonne, Tumalo, Prineville, La Pine, and Madras) and can travel to the Valley. We frequent popular Central Oregon wedding venues, including Black Butte Ranch, Aspen Hall, Tetherow, Eagle Crest, Brasada Ranch, Pronghorn, Sunriver Resort, High Desert Museum, Hollinshead Barn, Broken Top, Five Pines Resort, Rock Springs Ranch, and Long Hollow Ranch.
What types of events are your specialty?
We specialize in weddings, private parties (birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations of life, bar and bat mitzvahs, Vegas nights, graduations), and corporate events.
How would you define your “style” or approach to providing DJ entertainment?
Our style is chill and involved but not overbearing. We keep the music in the forefront and keep the party moving with minimal interruptions. We focus on you and the party, not on making ourselves the center of attention.
Do you offer additional services?
Yes, we offer MC services, various lighting options, and different speaker packages.
What do you require from my event site?
The event site must have adequate power to run our sound and light systems – two 20-amp circuits of 110 volts with standard, household-type wall plugs. If no light show is needed, one circuit is sufficient. At least one circuit must be dedicated with no other devices on the line. For outdoor events, our setup area must be out of direct sunlight and protected from moisture, falling debris, and airborne dust or dirt. The ground should be as level as possible, and power access should be within 50 feet.
I don’t want traditional wedding music at my wedding. Can you accommodate that?
Absolutely, that’s our specialty. We tailor the music to your preferences.
Do you travel?
Yes, we travel throughout Oregon. Events outside of Central Oregon may include a travel fee.
How do you dress for an event?
Our DJs dress in business casual attire unless otherwise specified. Please let us know if you have any special requests, such as avoiding certain colors.
Can we visit you at a performance?
Out of respect for our client's privacy, we do not permit prospective clients to "drop in" on a wedding. However, our references, online reviews, and the information we provide during our initial meeting will give you a clear picture of our experience, style, and professionalism.
